JEFF KINGSLEY: 📷"We had a productive weekend in my first trip to Road America. The JDX team continues to make strides as we had good pace in both practice sessions leading into qualifying on Friday evening, however a red flag ended qualifying early so most of the field failed to get in a good flying lap."
"Starting on the outside of Row #2 on Saturday, I stayed on the outside on the start and held my position all the way through Turn 4, gaining two positions. The race was shortened by a number of yellow flags, leaving very little opportunity to race for the lead, but I was very happy with my second place finish. Sunday's race was a lot more difficult. I got hung out at the start and was in the Top 5 when I got hit in the back resulting in a spin in Turn 3. I went to the back of the field and finished 17th. Very disappointing, but I’m looking forward to going to VIR and working our way back onto the podium."
SEAN McALISTER: 📷"I’ve certainly had better weekends. I managed to pick up some pace on Friday in Practice #1 and #2, however there was still some work to do as I was one second off the pace. In only my second visit to Road America, I got bit by a light crash at the end of our first practice session but my JDX Racing crew did a great job to get the car ready for the next session. I made an error in Race #1 which resulted in me losing a number of positions and there wasn’t much opportunity to work back through the field as there were only five laps of green flag racing. I had a much better Race #2, driving clean and managing to keep the car out of trouble. I gained a number of positions, just missing the podium in 4th position."
JEREMY DALE, MANAGING PARTNER/JDX RACING: "This was one of those weekends. Sometimes you’re the bug, sometimes you’re the windshield. Jeff had a great Race #1, finishing second in his first visit to Road America. This is a very tough track to learn and Jeff proved more than capable of getting up to speed. Race #2 was more challenging, he got hit and spun out, knocking him to the back of the field, which cost important championship points. Sean had a difficult Race #1 and got bit pretty hard by Road America but bounced back nicely in Race #2 to finish fourth."
"We’re going to take the lessons learned from this weekend to Virginia International Raceway and keep fighting for the Top 3 in the championship points."
